A group of expats cruised the Lijiang River and admired the spectacular waterscape during their visit to Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The 214-kilometer Lijiang River originates in Guilin and winds through a cluster of outcroppings typifying the local karst landform.

The scenic area named after Lijiang is a household top-level scenic spot in China. Its unique and beautiful vista is printed on the reverse of the country's 20-yuan banknote. The karst landform in this scenic area is a part of the South China Karst -- a UNESCO world natural heritage site.
