Nanning area of Guangxi FTZ houses over 25,000 companies

A total of 17,100 new companies were set up in the Nanning area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone from January to September this year, which is an increase of 252.9 percent year on year, according to Liang Peizheng, director of the Nanning commerce bureau.

The Nanning area, one of the three areas of the China (Guangxi) Pilot FTZ, was set up in August 2019. Covering a total area of 46.8 square kilometers, the Nanning area mainly casts eyes on five industries, namely modern finance, the digital economy, smart logistics, emerging manufacturing, and culture, sports and medicine. 

At present, the Nanning area has attracted over 25,000 companies including industrial giants such as Deutsche Post DHL Group, China Taiping Insurance Group and Alibaba. 

Officials from Nanning noted that the city will give full play to national development strategies to push forward trade and investment liberalization, business environment upgrading and mechanism innovation to turn the area into a pioneer for high-quality development.
