The sea-rail intermodal trains on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor transported a total of 416,900 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) in the first nine months of 2021, expanding by 246.34 percent year on year despite the global COVID-19 pandemic and the tight shipping market.
The land-sea trade corridor now covers 62 stations in 29 domestic cities in nine provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, transporting over 500 different categories of cargos to 304 overseas ports in 105 countries and regions on six continents since it started operation in 2017.
