Bama Forum attracts guests from 10 ASEAN countries

The 2021 China-ASEAN International Forum on Traditional Medicine and Health Tourism is scheduled to take place in Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Oct 12 to 14.

Being one of a series of international forums of the China-ASEAN Expo, the event is jointly held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is undertaken by the ASEAN-China Center.

Guests including envoys from 10 ASEAN countries in China, representatives from international organizations, government officials from the health and tourism sectors in ASEAN countries, and prestigious international experts and scholars have now confirmed their attendance online or on-site. 

Pressing issues related to the integrated development of traditional medicine and tourism under the regular COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures will be discussed during the forum to discuss the future of sustainable development and international cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in health tourism. 

Enjoying the title as the "famous world's longevity county," Bama now has 112 residents aged 100 or older and the county has been giving priority to the growth of ecological industries featuring the big health industry in recent years, turning its ecological advantages into its core strength.
