The 2021 China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum is scheduled to be held both online and on-site in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Sept 27 to further enhance communication and cooperation in vocational education between China and ASEAN.
The event, held by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and undertaken by the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is part of the 18th China-ASEAN Expo.
First held in 2012, the forum is held every two years. This year's event will feature the theme of "Technics serve a better life" and will carry out discussions on pressing issues on how vocational education serves other sectors such as modern agriculture, modern manufacturing, the inheritance of ethnic culture and rural revitalization.
It will also showcase the latest achievements in China-ASEAN vocational education and probe into the cooperation mechanism and measures for building a China-ASEAN community based on vocational education with a shared future.
A total of 349 attendees from 176 overseas governments, universities and companies have been invited to participate in the online event as of Sept 23 while 268 domestic guests such as scholars and representatives from companies are expected to attend the on-site event.
