The China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) is now moving forward with the construction of the cross-border industry as well as the supply and value chains associated with ASEAN, local media outlets reported on Sept 22.

The Nanning area of the Guangxi FTZ has been promoting the aggregation of advanced manufacturing and the modern service industry with high-end electronic information, 5G terminals, modern finance, smart logistics and big data to focus on the development of the open economy at a higher level.

Efforts have been made in constructing the China-ASEAN Business Center to offer one-stop services for companies to invest in and carry out trade in ASEAN.

The Qinzhou area has further optimized its industrial layout to pay more attention to sectors spanning chemical new materials, automobiles and new energy vehicles.

It has also taken the lead in China in the import and processing of Malaysian swift on the basis of the platform brought by China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park.

The Chongzuo area has now initially formed two industrial chains that consist of cross-border electronic information and the deep processing of ASEAN distinctive products such as marine products, tropical fruit and sugar.
