Improved environment makes Wangjia Village in south China's Guangxi an ideal habitat for herons

Wangjia Village stands at Sitang Township in Guilin City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Since 2019, flocks of herons have come to the forests near the village to build nests and give birth to chicks. This year witnessed a record number of over 8,000, thanks to the improvement of the local environment.
