A total of 49 out of 86 international and domestic investment cooperation projects that were signed during the 17th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in 2020 have been fulfilled by July 30, Guangxi Daily reported on Sept 6.
Twenty-one of the projects have started construction and two of them have been put into operation.
The international big data center of CETcloud in Guilin has a total investment of 18.8 billion yuan ($2.91 billion) and was the project with the most investment signed by Guangxi during the 17th CAEXPO.
CETcloud is a wholly-owned company of China Electronics Technology Group. The project has now started construction and is set to be a national big data center of CETcloud in Southwest China to meet up with the development demands in areas spanning cloud computing, big data, smart city and intelligent manufacturing.
An official from the Guangxi Investment Promotion Bureau said that efforts will be made in pushing forward project signing and investment promotion during the 18th CAEXPO to accelerate industry transformation and upgrading.
The official added that Guangxi will also make contributions to the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road.
