A forum on e-commerce between China and ASEAN is set to take place in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Sept 10, inviting guests such as officials from ASEAN countries, experts, scholars and prestigious e-commerce companies.
Pressing issues such as cross-border e-commerce and rural e-commerce will be discussed during the event, and Viya, one of China's top e-commerce live streamers, will be invited to deliver a speech.
Su Jian, deputy head of the Commerce Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that the forum is considered to be high-level in e-commerce under the framework of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.
Su said that the event is significant for deepening communication and cooperation between China and ASEAN in e-commerce sectors such as resources, technologies, talents and information, promoting the cross-border e-commerce development and establishing an e-commerce ecosystem between China and ASEAN.
The forum, having been held for seven consecutive years, has become an important carrier for boosting China-ASEAN trade development, facilitating the signing of more than 30 e-commerce projects in Guangxi and ASEAN markets, and speeding up the resource flow between Guangxi and ASEAN.
