The upcoming 18th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) will cast eyes on the construction of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), officials from the CAEXPO Secretariat announced on Aug 9.
This year's event will be held both online and on-site in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Sept 10 to 13, which will consist of special exhibition areas for RCEP, themed activities, and other planned activities.
One of these CAEXPO activities is a communication fair gathering around 50 representatives from Japanese companies and organizations such as Japan External Trade Organization, Mitsubishi Corporation (China) and Mizuho Bank (China), which focuses on boosting mutual cooperation between China and Japan in exploring third-party markets and attracting more Japanese participation in the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Other official organizations and business associations such as the consulate general of New Zealand in Guangzhou, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and the Australian China Chamber of Commerce will also attend the communication fair.
The CAEXPO Secretariat plans to work with the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce to hold a summit on the economic and trade cooperation under RCEP, inviting important business associations and outstanding experts from member countries of RCEP both online and on-site.
The CAEXPO is open to the world, and continues to strengthen the bilateral ties between China and ASEAN as well as actively enrolls RCEP member countries to attend the event.
