Region focuses on rejuvenation and high-quality development

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has focused on its goal of "building a beautiful Guangxi and fulfilling the dream of rejuvenation". The autonomous region has also boosted opening-up and reform while accelerating its high-quality development.

Guangxi will enter a new stage of development and accelerate new plans such as becoming a powerful region in transportation, opening a new sea-land channel in the west, launching a pilot free trade zone, and revitalizing its rural areas as well as pushing forward with major projects in new infrastructure, urbanization, water conservancy and transportation.

For the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), Guangxi will uphold the spirit of "opening roads and building bridges in every mountain", and continue to further improve its governance, in-depth innovation and efficiency.
