Geyasigu Scenic Area is located in Hechi's Nandan county, covering a total area of 9.6 square kilometers.
In the local Yao language, "Ge" is the name of a place and "Yasigu" signifies a beautiful Yao girl named Aya.
With a total investment of 500 million yuan ($78 million), work has been completed on the first and second phase of the scenic area, adding facilities including restaurants, a courtyard resort hotel, a theater, a swimming pool, and an exhibition for viewing traditional local garments.
If you visit, you should check out the beautiful Baiku Yao mud hotel, which is made entirely out of wood and mud, and surrounded by karst mountains. You can enjoy performances of traditional Yao stories and learn about their marriage customs. There are also 3D lightshows, and even a health spa in an underground canyon!
Geyasigu Scenic Area is a national 4A-level scenic spot, a five-star rural tourism area in Guangxi, and is home to one of China's top 10 folk custom hotels.
