Experts from Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, were invited to share their anti-COVID-19 pandemic experience with their counterparts from Iquique, Chile on May 19.

Iquique was Nanning's first friendly city in South America, and the two cities have carried out a series of exchanges in areas spanning trade, culture, education and talent since 2008.

Pan Lihua, chief physician from Nanning municipal center for disease control and prevention, gave an outline of Nanning's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and pointed out that the key to pandemic prevention and control is to make nucleic acid testing compulsory, leave no one unattended, and make sure all those in need are treated.

Tang Jinfang, another chief physician from Nanning municipal center for disease control and prevention, discussed issues related to China's vaccines, including the different types, recommended immunization procedures and frequently asked questions.

Experts from Iquique expressed their gratitude to Nanning's experts for sharing their precious experience, and noted that they will learn from the Nanning experience in their fight against the pandemic in order to gain victory as soon as possible.
