Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has been enhancing its quality infrastructure development and has taken the lead countrywide in the construction of provincial one-stop service platforms, officials from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Administration for Market Regulation said on March 30.

To date, the region has set up 28 one-stop services platforms, carrying out inspection and testing on 38,600 items. The qualified rate of manufacturing products in the region reached 97.6 percent in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 3.3 percentage points.

The region has invested 430 million yuan ($66 million) in building a China-ASEAN cluster for inspection, testing and certification services in Nanning, capital of the region.

Guangxi has worked with technical institutions directly subordinated to the State Administration of Market Supervision to set up six quality technology institutes. These cover areas spanning production inspection, metrological verification, certification, accreditation, special equipment inspection and article coding, providing high-quality services for the whole industrial chain of all 14 of Guangxi's 100 billion yuan level industrial clusters.

A special fund of more than 5 million yuan has been set up for the professional inspection teams based in the aforementioned clusters, helping companies find hidden quality safety risks. By the end of 2020, the expert service teams had solved more than 1,220 technical problems for 320 enterprises, with an economic benefit of more than 11.2 billion yuan.

Guangxi's administration for market regulation has devoted efforts in extending its service scale by integrating other service sectors such as protecting intellectual property rights and brand establishment, solving 79 IPR issues for 177 enterprises in 2020.

Relying on the quality services platforms, Guangxi has established exchange and cooperation mechanisms with eight ASEAN countries including Singapore in areas spanning certification and metrology to optimize the matchmaking between Chinese products and markets in countries along the Belt and Road.

A total of 259 distinctive products made by 230 Guangxi enterprises had gained certification from the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Center by the end of 2020.
