The China (Guangxi)-Israel Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Summit Forum and the China-Israel Cooperation Forum (Nanning) on Global Innovation and Development commenced in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Dec 20 to 21.

The two forums, which were held in both online and offline venues, marked the first time for Guangxi to hold large exchange and communication events with Israel. 

Discussions in areas spanning innovation and entrepreneurship, modern agriculture, medical health, ecological environmental protection, the internet, smart manufacturing of the internet of things, new materials, finance, as well as education were carried out during the forums by attendees from both China and Israel.

M.K. Yehiel Hilik Bar, the former deputy speaker of the Israeli Knesset, spoke highly of Guangxi's rich resources, development prospects, and the diligence of its residents. He added that it is very meaningful for Israel and Guangxi to forge relationships in innovation and cooperation. 

A batch of advanced technologies and products from Israel, such as accelerators, biological recognition, the application of nano-products, as well as big data management of water and energy, were showcased during the China (Guangxi)-Israel Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Summit Forum.

Ding Yun, the person in charge of the China (Guangxi)-Israel Science and Technology Transfer Promotion Center, said that the forums will be held every year to become a major platform for innovation and cooperation between China and Israel, as well as a bridge for attracting high-caliber technical talents to China.

Ding added that Guangxi can not only accelerate the introduction of Israeli advanced technologies and industries to push forward local industrial transformation and upgrading through the forums, but can also establish international industrial and technical cooperation mechanisms with Israel.
