Nanning invests over $7.6b in logistics network construction
Nanning, capital city of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has completed an overall investment of 5.62 billion yuan ($858.61 million) for building a logistics network after eight months of efforts, almost meeting the annual target, officials announced during a press conference on Dec 4.
Nanning has released a three-year action plan from 2020 to 2022 to establish a logistics network connecting ASEAN countries, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as Central and West China.
The plan has covered 53 projects, covering 10 areas spanning the construction of logistics parks, multimodal transportation, cross-border logistics, and bonded logistics. The overall investment of these projects is expected to exceed 50 billion yuan.
The Nanning international railway port, which is one of the major projects in the action plan, has completed its first-phase construction and was put into operation in June this year. The China-Singapore International Logistic Park has finished investment of around 3.3 billion yuan in the first 10 months of this year.
