The 17th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) is expected to attract 11,000 purchasers, investors, and project owners from home and abroad, the CAEXPO Secretariat announced on Oct 20.
Apart from the normal exhibition, the 17th CAEXPO will establish digital platforms together with Alibaba Group that enable both domestic and overseas exhibitors to showcase products, negotiate with customers, and conduct live streaming to seek out more business opportunities.
A promotion fair was held in Chengdu, Sichuan province on Oct 19 inviting Sichuan companies to take a more active part in the upcoming CAEXPO.
Qian Xueming, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Guangxi Committee, suggested that both Guangxi and Sichuan should accelerate the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in Western China, as well as deepen industrial cooperation.
Qian added that Sichuan companies are welcome to take part in the 17th CAEXPO to carry out cooperation in more fields.
Yu Bin, deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, noted that the CAEXPO has become an important platform for Sichuan to expand their markets in Guangxi and ASEAN countries. The province will continue to organize local companies to attend the event.
Representatives from Sichuan companies like New Hope Liuhe Co Ltd and Sichuan Machinery Imp and Exp Co outlined their conditions for expanding into ASEAN markets, noting that they hope to make better use of the event to further expand their markets in China and ASEAN.
