The China-ASEAN Cross-border Medical Cooperation Platform was put into official operation during a ceremony held on Oct 9 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

It is expected that the platform will contribute to the development of healthcare in countries and regions alongside the Belt and Road. 

The platform was built on the basis of cloud computing, applying intelligent measures to offer one-stop medical services for patients in ASEAN countries. 

Users can log into the platform using the smartphone app and enjoy services such as remote pre-hospital communication with experts from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, getting the latest information on their treatment when in hospital, and having follow-up visits. 

In addition, functions such as multilingual services and international settlement payments are available on the platform.

Chen Junqiang, director of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, said that the medical demands from ASEAN countries are huge and the hospital's advantages in treatment and techniques can better serve ASEAN patients.

Chen added that the hospital will further establish China-ASEAN medical centers in areas such as radiography, testing and pathology to push forward medical communication and cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN countries.

中国—东盟跨境医疗合作平台正式启动

中国—东盟跨境医疗合作平台9日在广西医科大学第一附属医院正式启动。该平台立足广西，服务东盟，打通与东盟各国跨境医疗合作的最后一公里，为“一带一路”沿线国家民众健康贡献中国力量。

据介绍，中国—东盟跨境医疗服务平台以云计算为基础、智能化为手段，为东盟患者打造入院前、入院中、入院后一条龙服务——入院前与广西医科大学第一附属医院的专家进行远程病情沟通，入院中随时获取治疗信息，入院后持续随访追踪。

患者通过手机App进入平台后，可按照新建预约挂号、同意就诊协议、提交预约申请、等待分诊结果、查询预约单、安排行程、入院、就医就诊、出院、接受康复指导、康复等顺序依次享受服务。

同时，平台还提供多语言服务、线下跨境转运通道、国际结算支付等服务，真正为东盟国家患者全线打通跨境就诊的堵点。

广西医科大学第一附属医院院长陈俊强介绍，东盟国家的医疗需求巨大，广西与东盟各国疾病谱相似，医院的优势技术、解决疑难杂症的优势能力能很好地服务东盟国家患者。

陈俊强表示，未来，医院将依托该平台，进一步构建中国—东盟互联网+影像中心、检验中心、病理中心等，促进中国广西和东盟国家之间的医学交流与合作。
