The first straddle-type monorail train manufactured in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has passed static debugging on Sept 21 and will start dynamic testing soon, marking a new step in the independence and localized development of Liuzhou's rail transport industry. 

The dynamic testing will last for about four months to further check the train's operation in areas spanning design, the electromechanical system, quality of local supply chain products, and the signal system.

The testing is also expected to verify the interface between Liuzhou-made trains and the autonomous electromechanical system to optimize the design, as well as improve the quality of products. 

Currently, negotiations and promotions regarding the train have been carried out in domestic cities including Zunyi in Guizhou province, Yichang in Hubei province, as well as Jining, Weifang, and Handan in Shandong province. Manufacturing orders from Thailand will also start this year.

Liuzhou has been devoting great efforts in cultivating strategic emerging industries, especially its rail transport industry, and the Liuzhou intelligent transportation industrial park is now currently under construction.

The industrial park is striving to become a national-level industrial base for rail transport featuring industries like rail vehicle assembly, maintenance, as well as mechanical and electrical integration.
