Guangxi signed a batch of major projects in the healthcare industry and the cultural tourism industry in Liuzhou on May 16, promoting the development of a health tourism industry integrating big data for ASEAN countries.
A total of 13 projects were signed, with a total investment of 16.28 billion yuan ($2.29 billion). The China-ASEAN (Liuzhou) Tourism Commodity and Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park was also announced to officially start construction on the same day.
Guangxi is adjacent to ASEAN countries and has unique ecological advantages. As a major industrial town in Guangxi, Liuzhou has deep industrial foundation support in the development of health tourism commodities and equipment manufacturing.
The China-ASEAN (Liuzhou) Tourism Commodity and Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park is composed of four functional areas for high-end tourism transportation equipment, assembled tourism facilities, tourism protection supplies, and tourism equipment trading. It strives to build a tourism equipment industrial base in Southwest China for ASEAN countries, as well as countries along the Belt and Road in 2025.
As of May 6, Guangxi has selected a total of 20 health and cultural tourism projects to be started and signed, with a total investment of 180.24 billion yuan.
In addition, various districts and cities in Guangxi will also hold signing ceremonies for major health and cultural tourism industry projects by the end of June.
