The Panyang River Scenic Zone, also known as the Longevity River Scenic Zone, in Bama Yao autonomous county, Hechi was rated as a national AAAA scenic spot (the second highest level for tourist attractions in China) in 2009.
The Panyang River starts at Qiaoyin township, Fengshan county, flows through Shuiyuan Cave, and emerges from the ground at Bainiao Cave before flowing underground for another 1,000 meters from White Bear Cave in the village of Jitun and ultimately emptying into Cifu Lake. Sixty kilometers of the 145-kilometer river, which was named after a village located in its middle section, are in Bama.
Scenic spots along the river include Xingren Waterfall, Bainiao Cave, Baimo Cave and Bama Longevity Village.
