Company transforms from auto maker to mask producer

Shanghai General Motors Wuling (SGMW) has started producing medical masks at its revamped factories, as part of the nation's broader fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Car maker SGMW, a joint venture between General Motors and Liuzhou Wuling Motors, has transformed to produce masks by cooperating with suppliers and self-built production line.
The first batch of protective masks was completed on Feb 13 and the production capacity is expected to reach 2 million per day by the end of this month.
