Tourist attractions in Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region will offer a free admission policy for medical workers nationwide for the rest of the year, according to the Guilin tourism management department.

In order to express thanks to medical personnel of their efforts in the fight against the novel coronavirus, admission to 79 scenic spots in Guilin will be free of charge from the date of the resumption of their business to Dec 31, 2020 for medical workers across the country with valid credentials, such as a physician's card, a nurse's card, or other qualification documents related to medical work.

"To express our deepest respect, we have decided to start this year by offering free admissions for all medical staff who can come to Guilin for sightseeing this year. We will use the present closure time to improve our service quality, as well as prepare to provide medical staff and all tourists with the best reception services after resumption,” said Li Feiying, Party secretary of Guilin Tourism Development Co.
