Intl young scholars explore academic development in Guangxi

Young scholars from world-renowned universities and research institutes gathered at the 2019 Junwu Forum of Guangxi University for International Young Scholars in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Dec 17 to conduct discussions on cutting-edge academic development.

During the three-day event, young talents from Cambridge University, Imperial College, Australian National University, McGill University, University of Tokyo, Nanyang Technological University, and other institutions participated in academic exchange forums, academic lectures, talent exchanges, and negotiations.

The participating young scholar representatives shared their scientific research experiences and research directions, as well as showed their latest research results. They also visited the History Museum of Guangxi University.

Guangxi University is the most comprehensive university with the longest history in Guangxi. With the aim of establishing a platform for communication and cooperation to promote interdisciplinary and academic innovation, the forum is one of Guangxi University’s initiatives to seize new opportunities for attracting talents.

Zhao Yueyu, president of Guangxi University, said at the forum that the university is committed to providing young teachers with all-round support and fully optimizing its environment for talent growth. He added that the school is eagerly expecting the addition of more young talents in the future.
