Guangxi, Hong Kong explore cooperation and exchanges

Guangxi and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) promoted communication between government departments and Hong Kong residents and enterprises in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region at a cooperation and exchange symposium, which was held in Guangxi's capital Nanning on Dec 13.
About 50 representatives from relevant departments of Guangxi, Hong Kong-funded enterprises in Guangxi, Hong Kong students studying in Guangxi, and the Nanning branch of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China (HKCCC) attended the symposium. Representatives from Hong Kong raised several issues concerning business, employment, study, and life in Guangxi. Representatives of Hong Kong entrepreneurs thanked the government for their strong support in providing new development opportunities and facilitation measures.
The director of the Liaison Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) in Guangxi said at the symposium that the Interim Measures for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Residents to Participate in Social Insurance in the Chinese Mainland was officially announced and will be implemented on Jan 1, 2020. He said that he looks forward to more support from the Guangxi government to facilitate services for Hong Kong residents and businessmen in the region.
The symposium was sponsored by the Liaison Office of the Government of the HKSAR in Guangxi and the Guangxi government.
