New opportunities and the future development pattern between Guangxi and Singapore's cooperation were discussed during a promotional conference held in Singapore on Dec 2.

The conference, held by People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, focused on jointly building and sharing the open financial door to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the China-ASEAN Information Harbor with a theme of "Sharing Financial Opening-up and Facilitating Information Cooperation". 

The latest construction progress of Guangxi's open financial door and the China-ASEAN Information Harbor was covered, along with newly-released policies and Nanning's achievements.

The conference pointed out five areas in deepening economy and trade cooperation between Guangxi and Singapore, spanning promoting new land-sea channel construction, boosting communication for financial talents, as well as sharing the dividends of the digital economy.

The Institute of Quality Inspection and Research on Products in Guangxi unveiled an international operation center during the conference, together with China-ASEAN Information Harbor. The center aims to become an important information hub on the west new land-sea passage. 

A batch of cooperation contracts were also signed, including one among Guangxi Financial Investment Group, DBS Bank and the Bank of China's Singapore branch.

More than 150 guests, including people in charge of financial institutes, experts and representatives from leading companies in both Guangxi and Singapore, attended the conference.
