A delegation consisting of 1,353 enterprises from Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is actively participating in the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is being held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

Guangxi booths completed 142 orders at the first CIIE in 2018, with a transaction value of $710 million. This year, several companies of Guangxi have purchasing plans, including Qinzhou Port Development Investment Group, Mayiyanghuo Co, Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co, Guangxi Guixin Semiconductor Technology Co, and Beihai Storaenso Forestry Co.

With the guidance of the Guangxi commerce department, 139 enterprises have enrolled in purchasing at the auto exhibition area, with an estimated purchase amount of $80 million, and 231 enterprises have enrolled in purchasing quality life products, with the estimated purchase amount of $124 million.

Mayiyanghuo, an enterprise engaged in cross-border trade e-commerce supporting services in Guangxi, has applied for a booth together with SODICO, a big Italian manufacturer with an extensive portfolio of cosmetic products, to promote baby products in the Chinese market for the first time.

Guangxi Baiyang Group, an enterprise engaged in aquatic product processing, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a company from Monaco, which mainly imports and distributes meat and aquatic products from all over the world, to establish a joint venture company to develop the Chinese and European markets.

Gu Zhangwei, an inspector of the Guangxi commerce department, said that more than 1,800 people from 1,353 enterprises in Guangxi have participated in negotiations and transactions, with the main businesses covering fields like big health, big data, logistics, new manufacturing, new materials, and new energy.
