Nearly 20 media members were invited to take part in the Media Tour of the Targeted Poverty Alleviation Model of Country Garden Group in Guangxi, which was held in Tiandong county, Baise, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Nov 1 to 2.

Sponsored by China Economic Information Service, the Guangxi branch of Country Garden Group, and the Tiandong county government, the event included a launching ceremony, round-table dialogues, and field research, aiming to comprehensively detail the characteristic poverty alleviation model in Guangxi.

The media members paid a visit to the Seeding Production Industrial Poverty Alleviation Base, the Vocational Skills Training Base, and the E-commerce Employment Demonstration Base for the disabled in Tiandong county, which help impoverished people, migrant workers, and disabled people find a satisfactory job and a stable financial source.

Luo Yuping, secretary of the publicity department of Tiandong county, noted that by the end of 2018, 44,143 people of 10,984 households in the county had escaped poverty and 40 poor villages were lifted out of poverty.

Wei Jianming, a leader of the Guangxi poverty relief office, said that through the support of private enterprises, social organizations, and the public, Guangxi has achieved remarkable results in its poverty alleviation effort, lifting 3.25 million people out of poverty.
