Nanning high-new technology industries development zone

Established in August 1988, Nanning's high-new technology industries development zone was approved by the State Council to be the State-level high-new technology industries development zone in November 1992. The high-new technology zone is divided into four parts (Xinxu Zone, Anning Zone, Xiangsi Lake Zone and Nanning Comprehensive Free Trade Zone), with a total area of 163.41 square kilometers. 

The zone's economy has always maintained rapid growth. Currently, more than 6,000 enterprises and 142 high-tech enterprises have entered the zone.

The zone is the country's innovative characteristic park, and in recent years the zone's invention patent application and authorization is occupying more than 40 percent of Nanning city. Its effective invention patent accounts for 54.65 percent of the city, the quantity of all kinds of innovative enterprises, intellectual property advantage cultivation enterprises, and high-tech enterprises remain high-speed growth, occupying 45 percent of the city. 

On June 21, 2017, the State Council announced the list of the second batch of entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration bases. The Nanning high-new technology industries development zone was selected as the first national entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration base in Guangxi. 

Nanning's high-new technology zone has risen to be one of the areas boasting the fastest growing economy and the largest foreign direct investments of Guangxi in the past 20 years. Meanwhile, as the most industry agglomerated and fullest equipped economic park, Nanning's high-new technology zone has successively been approved as "National Torch Plan Software Industry Base", "National E-commerce Demonstration Base", "National Advertising Pilot Industrial Park", "National Intellectual Property Pilot Park" and "National Low-Carbon Industry Pilot Park".
