Seven hundred people from all walks of life in Guilin's Yangshuo county have carried national flags and sang "Keep the Red Flag Flying" since late August to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan people, eight mass organizations, local branches of three democratic parties, intellectual federations, new social strata associations and 34 grassroots business associations were called upon to join in the festivities by the Yangshuo county Party committee and government.

They walked through waters and mountains, ancient streets and fields to express their love to their home country with songs, manifesting the spiritual outlook of Yangshuo people and showing their resolve to build a better Yangshuo in the new era.
