The 1st ASEAN-China TV Week, which was held from Sept 18 to 24 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, was a smashing success.

The slogan for the event was "Sharing New Opportunities in Belt and Road TV Development" and it was sponsored by the National Radio and Television Administration of China, the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the ASEAN Secretariat.

The event, as an important part of the ASEAN-China Year of Media Exchanges, was meant to promote cooperation in the television industry in areas such as policy, technology, and platforms.

During the event, forums on radio, television, and new media, exhibitions on cooperation achievements, and showings of TV series were held. The event was attended by officials and representatives from the film and television industries of countries such as China, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore.

The activities showcased the recent achievements of ASEAN-China media cooperation in providing an international communication platform for the development of the audio-visual industry.

Signing ceremonies were also held for ASEAN-China cooperation projects aiming to make use of each other's strengths in media capital, technology, and management.

"TV is a modern medium used by every country to spread influence and culture. I believe this event will serve as a new platform for media from both China and ASEAN to carry out cooperation," said Fan Xiaoli, member of the Party Standing Committee of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
