A total of 122 international and domestic economic cooperation projects were finalized at a signing ceremony held at the 16th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in Nanning on Sept 21.

Projects of this year's CAEXPO signed with ASEAN countries accounted for 24 percent of the total international economic cooperation projects, involving chemical manufacturing, airport logistics, automotive core parts, and intelligent communications and other industries in ASEAN, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Italy among others.

Most of the contracted projects boast good prospects, high quality and large investment, among which 10 projects are of more than two billion yuan ($282.16 million) and two projects are of more than five billion yuan. The contracted projects focus on the modern industrial system and highlight key areas such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Jingjinji Metropolitan Region, and the Yangtze River Delta, including real economy projects, headquarters economic projects, as well as industry integration projects in the fields of information technology and intelligent manufacturing.

The projects cover more than 10 fields in new industries and new materials, such as new equipment manufacturing, high-tech information technology, high-end pharmaceutical manufacturing, chip research and development, science and technology agriculture, etc., accounting for about 60 percent of the total signing projects.

Many contracted projects are of great significance to further optimize the industrial structure, promote industrial agglomeration and enhance industrial strength.
