The 9th China-ASEAN (Liuzhou) Automobile Industry Expo opened at Liuzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Sept 18.

The expo is being held in two phases. The first phase is the automobile and construction machinery exhibition, which is being held from Sept 18 to 22, while the second phase is the auto parts exhibition and the machine tool (smart manufacturing) and industrial robot exhibition, which will be held from Oct 18 to 20.

This year's expo integrates current fashionable trends and includes a series of exciting activities to entice the public while enjoying the charm of car culture, such as VR experiences and modified car showcases.

Wu Wei, mayor of Liuzhou, said at the opening ceremony that the expo has become an important platform for many domestic and foreign auto companies to display their brand image, as well as an important window for exchanges and cooperation between China's automobile industry and ASEAN's, as well as the whole world's.

Chen added that Liuzhou will make full use of the expo to absorb and learn advanced industrial concepts and development ideas from home and abroad, continuously accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry, as well as strive to build a first-class automobile manufacturing base.
