Guangxi, Taiwan strengthen cooperation on tea industry

A total of 350 experts in the tea industry from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan are taking part in the 2nd Guangxi-Taiwan (Wuzhou) Tea Industry Innovation and Development Forum and Tea Trade Fair, which are being held in Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Sept 17 to 19.

A series of activities have been carried out, including a tea products exhibition, tea culture exchange meetings, an e-commerce forum on the tea industry, a Liubao tea investment marketing summit, and tea competitions.

There are 106 tea product booths, which are divided into four parts: Liubao Tea Exhibition Area, Taiwan Tea Exhibition Area, Guangxi Tea Exhibition Area, and Tea Culture Exchange Area. A total of 113 enterprises are exhibiting tea, such as Taiwan Mingcha Tea, Guangxi black tea, green tea, Wuzhou Liubao Tea, Pu'er tea, and Anhua dark green tea.

Mei Yu, secretary general of the China Tea Marketing Association, said at the opening ceremony that the forum has opened up face-to-face communication channels for the tea industries of Chinese mainland and Taiwan, as well as has established a platform for bilateral benefits.

Li Dongxing, Taiwan Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that the forum showed the expectations of people from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan to promote economic cooperation.
