CABIS to promote industry cooperation and development
The China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) has continuously promoted cooperation between China and ASEAN in the past 15 years. It is an important bridge for China and ASEAN countries to enhance mutual political trust, a major platform for economic and trade cooperation, as well as a vital link for strengthening cultural exchanges.
Currently, the summit has become one of the highest-profile and most influential international conferences in the business and investment fields between China and ASEAN countries, becoming the highest-level industrial and commercial event for both sides.
Focusing on attracting investment, the 16th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit will be held on Sept 21-22 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The summit secretariat has formulated the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Upgrading and Development Five-Year Action Plan (2019-2023) to make this year's summit meet the needs of producers, traders, and investors.
A total of 17 events will be carried out this year to extend the value chain, increase added value, and enhance brand power.
The Round-table Dialogue between national leader of Indonesia and CEOs from China will be held to conduct discussions and consultations on topics such as industrial cooperation and enterprise development, as well as promote cooperation in trade, investment, and financial loan projects in the fields of electricity, infrastructure construction, finance, automobile manufacturing, and non-ferrous smelting.
This year's summit will also include a number of forums focusing on fruit, big health, and digital economy to strengthen cooperation and attract investment. In addition, the 2nd Belt and Road Forum of Youth Entrepreneurs, the 2019 Maritime Silk Road Fashion Week, the 2nd Belt and Road Forum on New Economy Development, the Symposium on China-ASEAN Commercial Legal Cooperation, as well as other trade and investment fairs will be held during the summit.
