Guangxi holds forum on smart manufacturing
A forum themed around "Intelligent Age, Smart Manufacturing" was held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Sept 9 as one of the sub-forums of the first China-ASEAN AI Summit.
Undertaken by the Guangxi branch of Sugon (Dawning Information Industry Co), a leading enterprise in the field of high-performance computing, servers, storage, cloud computing, and big data in China, the forum brought together leaders of the AI industry, as well as production, learning, and research industries of smart cities. Based on different fields and technological categories, the participants explained the direction and trends, as well as the methods and paths of smart manufacturing under the innovative development of new smart cities, providing powerful professional suggestions for the development of smart cities and smart manufacturing.
Zhou Fei, director of Guangxi Information Center, said at the forum that new ways and new industries of manufacturing services, such as smart design and manufacturing, operation monitoring, as well as data analysis, will become a powerful new engine for Guangxi's manufacturing development. He expressed hope that the forum would provide a new framework for sharing in the field of smart manufacturing for enterprises in China and ASEAN countries, as well as create a new space for cooperation.
Zhang Aiping, chairman of Guangxi Sugon, delivered a speech at the forum. She said that the company will increase investment in the construction of Guangxi's digital economy by building a scientific and technological achievement market trading platform in Guigang to train and reserve senior professionals, as well as provide big data services to Guangxi, Southwest China and ASEAN countries.
The forum also set up an interview dialogue session. The leaders and experts conducted in-depth dialogues based on the focuses, difficulties, and hot issues in the integration of aerospace information and smart city development.
