China and ASEAN countries to launch media exchanges in Nanning

The first China-ASEAN TV Week will be held from Sept 18 to 24 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, as one of the activities of the 2019 China-ASEAN Year of Media Exchanges and one of the main characteristic activities of the 16th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO).

Sponsored by the National Radio and Television Administration and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the first China-ASEAN TV Week aims to build a platform for media policy dialogue, content industry cooperation, and technology integration development, as well as promote deepening cooperation between China and ASEAN in the era of media integration.

Government leaders, experts, and scholars in research institutions, leading figures in large-scale media platforms, as well as cultural celebrities from home and abroad will be invited to the TV Week to discuss industry cooperation in online audio-visual program content exchange, platform channels construction, and internet TV technology services. They will also explore the development trend of China-ASEAN media under the development of emerging information technologies, such as internet, big data, AI, 5G, 4K ultra HD, and IPTV.

The first China-ASEAN TV Week will carry out five major events, including the launching ceremony, the film and TV songs ceremony, the special session of the China-ASEAN Year of Media Exchanges to celebrate the 16th CAEXPO, the China-ASEAN Media Cooperation Achievement Exhibition, the China-ASEAN Excellence TV Series Broadcast, and the trade fair.

In addition, enterprises from China and ASEAN countries will hold promotion meetings to strengthen cooperation, as well as promote the development of the media and audio-visual industries.
