The 2019 China (Guangxi)-ASEAN Cultural Tourism Week will be conducted during the 16th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the 14th China-ASEAN Culture Forum, according to a press conference held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Sept 4.

As a supporting event of the 14th China-ASEAN Culture Forum, the cultural tourism week aims to hold various tourism activities in Nanning and throughout Guangxi to fully demonstrate the charm of the autonomous region, deepen exchange and cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN countries, promote the integration of culture and tourism, as well as serve the construction of the Belt and Road.

The purpose of the forum is to expand the development of the cultural tourism industry between China and ASEAN countries, explore the trends and paths of cultural tourism development, strengthen cultural tourism exchanges and cooperation, as well as promote common prosperity in cultural tourism between China and ASEAN countries.

A number of cultural activities will be also carried out during the week, including symphonic concerts, a cultural tourism promotion conference, a drama week, a folk song art festival, light shows, and Guangxi culture exhibitions. In addition, various cultural exhibitions and performances will be held in other cities in Guangxi, such as Wuzhou and Beihai.
