Guangxi Beibu Gulf attracts Greater Bay investment

The 2019 Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone Investment Promotion was held in Shenzhen on Aug 28, coming to agreements on 16 projects between Guangxi and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Nearly 200 people from various cities and industrial parks in the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, as well as representatives from the bio-pharmaceutical, electronic information, new materials, new energy, chemical, logistics, and other industries from the Greater Bay Area, gathered at the promotion meeting to explore industrial exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, promote intellectual cooperation, as well as seek integrated development.

Wei Ran, deputy director of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, said that Beibu Gulf Economic Zone attaches great importance to and looks forward to strengthening cooperation with the Greater Bay Area in the fields of finance, trade, shipping, industry, and talent.

He stressed that the promotion event aims to promote deep exchanges and cooperation between Guangxi and Shenzhen, enhance the business environment, as well as provide more high-quality and efficient services for investors and talents.

Achievements and opportunities of the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and the Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the business environment of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, as well as the industrial parks of Beihai, Fangchenggang, and Qinzhou were introduced at the promotion event.

A total of 16 projects had been signed by the end of the event, covering such fields as industry matching, equipment manufacturing, biological medicine, and ecological environmental protection. This will further optimize the industrial structure, as well as promote upgrading and development of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone.
