CAEXPO tourism exhibition to open in October

The 2019 China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Tourism Exhibition will be held in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Oct 18, aiming to strengthen tourism cooperation between China and ASEAN.
Jia Yucheng, a government official of Guangxi Culture and Tourism Bureau, said at the press conference on the 2019 CAEXPO Tourism Exhibition that the exhibition will promote mutually beneficial cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, as well as help build a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
The tourism exhibition will set up a themed pavilion of the Belt and Road countries, while hosting the Overseas Tourism Professional Exhibition, Guangxi International Friendship City Tourism Alliance Exhibition, the International Tourism Commodities Exhibition, as well as the Tourism Consumption Exhibition. Tourism promotion, matching negotiations, travel routes, as well as investment negotiation and contracts signing will also be carried out.
In recent years, ASEAN countries have become popular destinations for Chinese people to travel abroad. According to official data, there were 57 million personnel exchanges between the two sides in 2018, and nearly 4,000 flights run a week between China and ASEAN countries.
At present, many cities in ASEAN countries have carried out publicity on tourism with Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xiamen.
