Founded in 1996 by Cao Rizhang, an entrepreneur from Taiwan, Yuzi Paradise is a large-scale international landscape art park that combines Guilin's geographical landscape with creations from outstanding artists from around the world, focusing on cave art and contemporary sculpture.

Yuzi Paradise is located in Yanshan district, Guilin, and about 30 kilometers away from Guilin's downtown area. As the only cultural public welfare project in China, it hosts a wide range of international art competitions, as well as promotes various cultural and artistic activities.

Since 1997, Yuzi Paradise has held the International Sculptural Symposium 11 times. Starting in 2009, it holds four international painting production camps with Shanghai Sculpture Park each year. Over the past 22 years, more than 200 artists from nearly 47 countries and regions have worked closely together to create a unique artistic landscape here.

Yuzi Paradise was opened to the public on April 1, 2004. With the continuous development of arts and cultural activities, an increasing number of artists have participated in the creation of its works and Yuzhao Paradise has gradually become a new landmark of modern art in southern China.

In addition to the sculptures, Yuzi Paradise also boasts an international art center, a creation center, art shops, and many other scenic spots worth a visit. The International Art Center has professional studios, exhibition halls, and artists that provide a series of art courses, such as printmaking, pottery, painting, calligraphy, Chinese painting, handmade soap making, and Chinese knot art for art lovers of different levels. Its art shops display and sell unique products from artists, as well as local and global museums and art galleries, including original works, art derivatives, and local specialty goods.
