Guangxi increases designated ports for imported fruit to 7
As Vietnamese fruit entered the Chinese market through the newly designated fruit-regulating site of Shuikou Port, the designated ports for imported fruit in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region increased to seven, further promoting fruit trade between China and ASEAN countries.
Shuikou Port is located in Shuikou town, Longkou county, Chongzuo, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and is on the border with Vietnam. The opening of its designated fruit-regulating site indicates that imported fruit from ASEAN countries can enter the country through the port. It has become the seventh designated port for entering fruits after the opening of three frontier ports (Pingxiang Port, Longbang Port, and Dongxi Port), two coastal ports (Fangchenggang Port and Qinzhou Bonded Port), and one airport of Guilin.
The designated fruit-regulating site for imported fruit at Shuikou Port adopts fully enclosed and smart management with various facilities and equipment which meet a variety of business needs. The comprehensive laboratory at Shuikou Port has 102 projects approved by the State. It is also equipped with 129 sets of instruments and equipment, all of which can meet the regulatory requirements for imported fruits.
The increase of the designated ports for imported fruit entry not only helps ASEAN countries enter the Chinese market more quickly, but also meets the growing demand of Chinese consumers for imported fruit.
