According to the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export value of Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone reached 1.41 billion yuan ($204.02 million) in April, ranking 18th among the total 73 comprehensive bonded zones in China. 

Since beginning operations in April 2017, Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone has adhered to the principle of improving infrastructure and strengthening investment attraction, focusing on the construction of the China (Nanning) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Experimental Zone core area and China-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park. The bonded zone has also actively promoted development and construction, as well as efficient operations.

In 2018, Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone completed its cross-border e-commerce integrated service platform and the reconstruction of its bonded direct purchase center. It promoted the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and the China-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park. The total import and export volume of the bonded zone reached $2.08 billion in 2018, nine times more than the previous year. 

Currently, Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone strives to facilitate the expansion of the domestic market by enterprises in the zone, as well as accelerate the construction of infrastructure and supporting facilities, such as public rental housing, business centers, commodity display centers, and shopping plazas.

As an important platform for the development of an open economy in Nanning, the bonded zone focuses on the development of key industries, such as processing trade, bonded logistics, and cross-border e-commerce. It aims to build a cross-border e-commerce industrial park based on building its relationship with ASEAN nations and with the goal of going global.
