Indonesia holds CAEXPO investment promotion seminar in Nanning

The 2019 CAEXPO (China-ASEAN Expo) Seminar on Investment Promotion (Indonesia) was held in Nanning by the secretariat of CAEXPO and the Indonesia Consulate General in Guangzhou on May 31 to attract investment from Chinese enterprises.

The seminar focused on the investment promotion policy and projects of Indonesia to promote cooperation between China and Indonesia in industrial parks, infrastructure, manufacturing, and agriculture. Representatives of Indonesian industrial parks and more than 100 Chinese companies who have invested and intend to invest in Indonesia attended the seminar.

Ikmal Lukman, deputy chairman of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), introduced the foreign investment policy and investment environment in Indonesia in detail. He specifically recommended fields with great market opportunities, such as the tourism, agriculture, and food industries. In addition, environmental protection technology and technology transfer industries will also be open to foreign investment.

The seminar also invited representatives of Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate and Karawang Industrial Park to introduce the general status and development advantages of industrial parks to Chinese enterprises. Guangxi State Farms Group and China Export & Credit Insurance Co shared their experience and achievements of investment cooperation in Indonesia.

Indonesia is the country of honor of the 16th China-ASEAN Expo and this seminar is the first event in a series of activities for the upcoming Expo, which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from July 11-13. More investment cooperation activities will be held to promote cooperation between China and Indonesia.
