In order to help people understand the driving status of buses in time, Nanning plans to build 40 new smart bus stop signs and upgrade the original smart electronic system for 450 bus stations.

According to the Nanning Transportation Bureau, the newly built 40 smart bus stop signs have completed the bidding procurement and are expected to complete construction by the end of the year. The original electronic bus stop system for 450 bus stations is the database built from 2015 to 2018. The upgrade will reconstruct the database to realize the unified background management of the functions of the smart stop signs, including front-end equipment debugging, display format, content display, font size, color, broadcast frequency, and electronic road maps.

Nanning has taken many actions to strengthen the informatization construction of its transportation industry. It has built a municipal network platform of the transport service and complaints hotline, as well as an online taxi-reservation monitoring platform.
