The 2nd Guangxi Open Ballroom Dance Championship will take place at Guangxi Sports Center in Nanning from Aug 13 to 14 concurrently with the CBDF China Cup Tour Ranking Competition's Guangxi stop.

Founded in 2012, the China Cup Tour Ranking Competition is the most prestigious event under the Umbrella of China Ballroom Dance Federation. It is the first time that it will come to Guangxi.

Contestants will hail from Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Italy, Thailand, and Philippines. Fedor Isaev and Anna Zudilina from Russia, Amateur Ballroom winners at the 2018 Blackpool Dance Festival, as well as Damir Haluzan and Anna Mashchyts from Slovenia, third-place Amateur Latin winners of the 2017 Blackpool Dance Festival, will lead the line-up.

The jury will consist of experts from Russia, Germany, Italy, Australia, Poland, Ukraine, Japan, Croatia, Latvia, Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Prior to the competition, there will be a champion training camp, a flash mob, and free classes conducted by dancing masters to heat up the atmosphere.

The event will be sponsored by the China Ballroom Dance Federation, Guangxi Cultural Industry Group, and the government of Nanning's Jiangnan district.
