Regular seaplane trips between Beihai Furama Hotel and Weizhou Island began running on May 10, allowing tourists to take in breathtaking views of the Beihai cityscape and Weizhou Island from a stereoscopic perspective.

The 15-minute journey uses the amphibious aircraft Cessna 208 Caravan, which features eight leather passenger seats and large sightseeing windows. It boasts a maximum speed of 324 kilometer per hour, and can fly at an altitude of six kilometers. The ticket prices are below 1,000 yuan ($146.6).

In the future, there will also be seaplane routes operating from Beihai to Qinzhou and Haikou.
