The 2nd Social Science Popularization & Activity Week will take place in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from May 12 to 18, according to a press conference held by the information office of the local government on May 8.

The main venue of the event is set at Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Exhibition Center. A total of 40 social science lectures, 30 expert consultations on hot-button scientific issues, 15 grassroots social science popularization activities, a factual book exhibition, and an award-winning quiz are on tap.

A photo exhibition in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and promotions on regional character culture will also be held to spice up the event.

In addition, social science organizations, science and technology associations, and science popularization bases throughout the region will roll out a wide range of activities to disseminate scientific knowledge in rural areas, enterprises, schools, and communities.
