Wuzhou Xijiang Airport will launch three direct flights to Guiyang of Guizhou province, Chongqing municipality, and Fuzhou of Fujian province on March 31.

The Wuzhou-Guiyang flight will depart from Wuzhou at 4:55 pm and arrive in Guiyang at 6:10 pm every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. It will leave from Guiyang at 9:50 pm and land in Wuzhou 11:10 pm every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

The Chongqing-bound flight will leave at 12:05 pm and arrive at 1:40 pm every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The Fuzhou-bound flight will depart at 4:30 pm and arrive at 6:25 pm every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Since the airport began operating on Jan 23, it has seen strong growth momentum. As of Feb 28, it had hosted 68 flights carrying 18,600 passengers to Beijing and Shanghai. The opening of the new flights will bring it one step closer to its goal of becoming a regional comprehensive transport hub.
