An international Spring Festival gala entitled "Melody of Spring 2019" finished recording in Nanning on Jan 15, bringing together more than 420 performers from 13 countries and regions for a cultural extravaganza meant for global audience.

The gala, which is in its 12th year, was organized by Nanning Television (TV) and 17 associated media, including Hong Kong International TV, Asia TV, Astro Wah Lai Toi, Chinoy TV, Thai-China International TV and Australia Rainbow TV.

Nearly 40 percent of the programs were created by media partners, and 25 percent of the cast was foreign. In addition to original foreign performances, there were also joint performances with Chinese peers, as well as adaptations of Chinese songs or poems.

The gala will premiere on Nanning TV news channel on Feb 3, on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year, and will later be broadcasted on other partner media. Ho Chi Minh City TV, Lao Star TV and National TV of Cambodia will also broadcast the program.
